Leads the advancement and integration of quality assessment and quality performance improvement strategies for VNSNY CHOICE Medicaid and Medicare products in collaboration with senior leadership and service delivery management. Works to advance VNSNY CHOICE status as a `World Class&rsquot; health plan to the community and regulatory agencies. Develops, implements and refines quality and safety programs at the inter-professional level through consultation, program activities and collaboration across VNSNY Provider Services. Oversees the development of quality metrics to support performance improvement initiatives and quality/compliance oversight. Builds shared vision to incorporate a culture that is data driven and aligns with evidenced based best practices that are compliant with CMS and NYS DOH requirements. Leads special initiatives and ongoing efforts in areas of quality assessment and practice improvement. Facilitates and supports operational changes and activities which further quality improvement and clinical staff development goals. Supports VNSNY CHOICE&rsquot;s strategic goals and meeting its financial targets. Works under general direction.
Licensure: Valid driver's license or NYS Non-Driver photo ID card, may be required as determined by operational/regional needs.
Education: Master&rsquot;s Degree in Health Care, Nursing, Public Health, Education, or related field required.
Experience: Minimum of six years&rsquot; experience in clinical quality improvement & measurement, systems analysis, and/or research required. Minimum of two years management experience required. Experience in a long term care, home or community based health care organization preferred. . Ability to perform statistical/quantitative analysis required. Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, develop project plans with corporate wide impact, and work in team groups required. Effective oral/written communication, presentation skills required. Proficiency in the field of training and staff development preferred. Proficient with personal computers, including Windows, Excel, Word and Power Point required.
